The publication, in which he worked along with Loreto Cuitiño, Juan Godoy, Ginny Farías, Andrés Couve, Christian Bonansco, and Marcos Fuenzalida, and which offers a model on how the Wnt signaling pathways regulates GABAA receptors in hippocampus neurons, is his 201st ISI article, published in renowned international magazines. Dr. Inestrosa is one of the few Chilean neurobiologists that have achieved this record.

The news took him by surprise. "I had no idea until one of my PhD students, Enrique Toledo, who is now a researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, sent me an email congratulating me for having crossed that barrier".

This is a new achievement in Dr. Inestrosa's vast curriculum. He has dedicated himself to study Alzheimer's Disease, and who a few months ago was invited to write a review on Nature about the role of Wnt in the disorder.
